The Magic Cottage is a homestay and Rosie lives on the property. It is the perfect getaway for couples, solo female travellers, small families and people who 'work from home'. Superfast Internet suitable for all work activities. The room has its own private terrace overlooking the garden and the forest beyond. The space is heated by electric radiators. There is a fridge, electric kettle and coffee machine in the room and a selection of teas, coffee and brown and white sugar are provided on a tray and fresh milk is in the fridge. Guests are given their own key to the front gates and the room and are welcome to use the kitchen downstairs, the downstairs terrace and hammocks and fire pit in the garden. Guests are welcome to use my kitchen between 12 and 2 pm and from 7 to 10 in the evening to cook for themselves. There is free parking outside the house. I have 2 extra beds for children. Please mention in your booking request if you would like these put in the room (an extra charge of 10 EUR/ night/ bed). Guests are advised to have their own car but I am happy to collect guests from Praid should they wish to arrive by bus.
Hello, my name is Rosie and I am English and I live between India and Transylvania, Romania. I have a long connection with India as my ancestor, Lord Cornwallis, was Governor General of India twice and my mother's family were involved in the tea and jute business in Assam. I have two other homestays, The Magic Cottage and The Kicsi House, near Praid, in the stunning Salt Valley of Harghita County, Transylvania, Romania. The Magic Cottage, an award winning homestay, is open all year round. I love both the bustling and colourful Udaipur and the magical and very tranquil Transylvania and I am sure that you will too. I very much look forward to being your hostess in one of these unique and beautiful destinations.
The Magic Cottage is a self catering homestay, accommodating just two couples, located just 3 kilometres from Praid and the famous Salt Mine, Salt Valley and The Praid Live Butterfly House, just 20 minutes from Sovata with its beautiful Bear Lake, spas and a wide choice of restaurants. The artisan pottery village of Corund is just 5 kilometres and attractions such as the Straw Hat Museum, Heart of Jesus Statue and Mini Transylvania Park are all within an easy drive. Full tourist information is provided in a binder in the room. There are several general stores within walking distance of the cottage run by friendly locals who speak both Hungarian and Romanian. Tirgu Mures airport is 45 minutes away. Languages spoken: English, French
